A Very British Civil War Battle

frankxmcgovern, October 30, 2023November 7, 2023

Hosted by: Ed Parodi – Scenario: Ed Parodi

The VBCW battle in England was to be a hostile takeover by an Anglican League reinforced company, with the target being the large Barclay’s bank that was situated in the prosperous town of Mynet. Tithing to the church has been sparse from some of the more affluent towns thru out the non-A.L. held areas. So a mission of recovery was duly sent out.

The leading fathers of Mynet, after many promises and threats from the A.L., decided to defend themselves without being too enthusiastic about it. The chief defenders are from the Coleman’s Mustard plant, the Robertson’s Preserves plant, the Silhouette Lingerie company, and the largest and strongest contingent, the Barclay’s Bank employees company and the bank president’s estate employee’s company. Unbeknownst to the other three co-defenders, Barclay’s had bought an armored car and had two brick pillboxes built.

Th A.L. force came with their 3rd A.L. battalion, consisting of a company of the Durham Light Inf, a company of the 3rd St. Alstead’s Guard Militia and a company of miners, Sappers for Christ, with their armored tractor and cars carrying inf and a 3″ naval gun. Also many captured trucks two double-decker buses and two armored cars.

The A.L. attacked the bank with a pincer movement, one wing had the two armored cars and St. Alstead’s Militia and the other wing had the the bulk of the battalion. The smaller wing was held up and driven off by the brave models, seamstresses and men of the Silhouette Lingerie company, with many casualties. The larger wing moved along at a glacier like pace, being ably blooded by combined close actions by Robertson’s and Coleman’s groups, with long range light machine gun fire killing the miner’s 3″ gun crew.

As the larger A.L. wing closed on the bank property, the Robertson’s and Colman’s contingents realized that they were doing all the fighting and decided to sneak into the bank as “help” in order to get to the money themselves! And they did and escaped unscathed!!!! And another strange VBCW scenario ends.
