Taking down the upstarts  –   More Hoodlum Hijinks!

frankxmcgovern, December 5, 2023December 5, 2023

Host, Scenario and Photos:  Ed Parody

In this corner of town we slip into the warehouse and factory environment. The two big families, Testduras and the Righitonis, don’t really have major claims, leaving some wiggle room for upstarts, the Malarkeys. They started in a small warehouse, playing with imports and exports like spices, teas, coffees, booze and some girls. They’ve stayed in the shadows and have done well enough to move into a much larger warehouse, make their own booze and front a small commercial bank! And along the way they have picked another side gig, the local numbers game.

But what the Malarkeys don’t know is that the Big Two have sort of discovered their different secrets! The Testaduras have decided to put in a raid at the warehouse and the Righitonis have decided to make a hostile withdrawal at the bank. The Testaduras came in from the north in four military-style trucks well armed, coming up a side street, right for their target.

But along the way they saw The Malarkey at a gas station and proceeded to shoot up his limo and kill him! The Marlarkeys shot right back killing two of the truck drivers and disabling the same two trucks, one slamming into another parked truck and the second took rounds into the tranny. Both sides were now embroiled in a close range shoot out! The other pair of trucks headed for the warehouse, but were themselves surprised by the warm leaded reception they received before they even stopped and debussed!

While this was going on, the Righitoni’s bank withdrawal was in play as well. After approaching the bank from the west with an armored car disguised as a delivery truck and a chase car full of hoods, they then cut through alleys and people’s yards to get to the bank! But on their way west before they’re becoming a case of lousy drivers, they drove through a State Trooper raid on a speakeasy!! Anyway, the withdrawal was not very successful either with hoods being bloodied all over the bank.

In the street where the raid was swiftly wrapping up, four gunmen appeared at the side of the speakeasy building and ambushed the troopers killing three of the four while losing two of their own in the exchange. One trooper had been sent after the two bad unmindful drivers to set them straight but was shot down by the Righitoni rear guard. Last two ambushers were in turn gunned down by two brave motorcycle cops that had dismounted and had snuck up behind them.

The raging arsonists fire of a building didn’t affect anyone, mores the pity!

It was a fun game and we will work on the rules again this coming Friday.
